               More for less- Honor 7x 





         Samsung had started the bezel-less trend in the galaxy S8 model paving way for the 18:9 ratio screens. As it increased the aesthetics of the anatomy of the handsets and accounted for wider screen loved by fellow folks. Every manufacturer began to follow this technology in their later releases. Honor 7x is one such new dropdown to the universe from the Chinese manufacturer. Honor 6x which were launched previously under the same price bracket had got a great appreciation as it sported a fair stowed screen with 16:9 ratio, dual rear lens, the power-efficient kirin 655 chipset and a huge 4gb ram. The Honor 7x's sale commenced in amazon.in from 23rd December. Let's see what the Honor 7x fully-features !!!

Design and display

              The all-new Honor 7x packs a unibody metal design. The smartphone incorporates a large 5.93 inch IPS screen. The bezels are slashed off and follow an 18:9 aspect ratio(Honor's full-view display). The 7x's screen has a 1080×2160 resolution with 400 PPI density. The smartphone has the following measures 156.5 × 76.5 × 7.6mm. The display casts a 2.5D curved glass. The rear has the dual-camera setup at the top right corners with rim texture running into it. The bottom also showcases a blurred rim running horizontally. The fingerprint sensor is placed below the rear cam instead of comfortable front-faced setup. The rear lens humps a little bit beyond the body. The micro USB port; a headphone jack; noise cancellation mic; a single speaker setup all finds their positions at the bottom. The part above the display throngs earpiece; a single camera unit. There is a dedicated power button and volume buttons in the right and a hybrid dual sim tray is placed in the quartile of the left side. The top of the handset sports a plain texture with another noise cancellation mic. The handset is said to have a notification LED.

Camera

                The smartphone has a rear dual 16MP and a 2MP camera setup. There is no support for  4k recording revealing its attempt to constrain the budget. The front has an 8MP camera setup. Fortunately, both the cameras are said to support portrait effect.





Memory

               The smartphone comes out in two variants one with 4gb ram/32gb storage and the other with 4GB ram/64 GB storage. The storage can be expanded via the hybrid slot up to 256 GB. The 4GB can task out with ease.

OS and UI

                   The smartphone runs on android nougat out of the box and it runs Honor's custom emui 5.1 on top. The UI is said to have "Huawei ultra memory" optimising the performance of the ram. There is an ultra response mode evident for buttery smooth touch response. The home screen automatically inks itself with the wallpaper's colours, when applied. Processor

                  The phone casts kirin 659 under the hood and is manufactured through 16nm technological process. The graphical works are managed by the Mali T-830 MP2. The processor's clock speed and core architecture are similar to the snapdragon 630. Four cores are clocked at 2.36 GHz and four cores are clocked at 1.7 GHz. All the eight cores are of the cortex A-53 type. 

Battery and sensors 

            The phone packs a 3340 mah non-removable battery and does not support fast charging.
            The phone packs the basic sensors along with the fingerprint sensor and the company claims it to unlock in .25 seconds.

Colours and pricing

                    The phone is available in three colour variants; black, blue and gold. The 32gb variant is available in 12,999 and the 64gb variant is available in 15,999.
